Welcome to Artful Beginnings! All customized items in the shop are handmade from scratch. Special, all natural fabric is used to digitally print your chosen words and images in your choice of colors. The use of textile inks creates a cleanable, washable product (except for invitations and scrolls). The papers in use have a high recycled content, or have special characteristics like embedded seeds, tree-less origin, or a wonderful texture.

All items are hand made in a small studio in Vermont, one at a time.

I am new to Zibbet and I offer a small discount as compared to items in my Etsy shop. New items are added daily, please check back often.

Shipping Information

Please make sure your shipping address is correct.

I use USPS First Class Package for light items, USPS Priority for heavier items such as invitation sets. All items (except samples) are shipped with delivery confirmation and with insurance for more expensive items. Bot First Class and Priority Mail take 2-3 days on average, longer occassionally. Please allow at least 6 days for shipping when placing your order.

All international orders are mailed with certificate of mailing unless otherwise specified. Certificate of mailing does not provide tracking info, only registered mail does. International registered mail is $12 in addition to any shipping costs. Please note all international orders valued at $50 or more will be shipped registered only.

International customers, please feel free to contact me for shipping rates before placing an order if you don't see one posted. When shipping internationally, your items will be marked as "merchandise" on customs form at the full purchase price. Artful Beginnings is not responsible for any customs or brokerage fees - please check with the appropriate authorities for customs and brokerage pricing before placing your order.

First Class and Priority Mail shipping takes 2-6 days on average, but may take longer. Please allow at least 6 business days for shipping domestically, couple weeks for all international orders.

Refunds, Returns and Exchanges

Please note that I cannot wait longer than 15 days for the submission of your customization information.

I want you to be happy with the items you purchase from my shop. If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason please contact me within 5 days of receiving it. I do not issue refunds or accept exchanges on a custom order already mailed, but I will reprint it if something is wrong due to my error, once I receive the original item back from you. If there is an error on your part regarding the customization, I may offer a small discount to have the piece reprinted.

If you need to cancel an order before it is printed, please let me know right away. There is a custom design fee of $10 for individual items and $25 for canceled invitation orders if I already sent a layout based on your specifications. Design fee will be deducted from your refund. There is no refund on orders already printed.

Custom orders are non-returnable. Irregularities and variations in the fabric are characteristic and are not to be considered defective. Please note that digital printing on textiles on a small scale is a relatively new process and is not perfect.

Extra Information

PROCESS:
I send a proof of your custom design layout as an e-mail that you need to approve before I start printing your order - please expect it and respond to ensure timely delivery of your item. It may take me up to 2 business days to create a custom layout. I do not create layouts before payment is received.

I am happy to provide up to 2 font and color choices per layout, and make one small edit in your submitted text. Any further changes prior to final approval may be subject to a $25 design fee.

No changes are possible after I print your order, therefore check carefully for typos, mistakes in names, initials, dates when I send your layout.

TURNAROUND TIME:
Individual items (hankies and samples) will take 2-4 days to be mailed once design is approved or sample ordered. Invitation orders of less than 100 qty need 1-2 weeks, and orders over 100 qty need 3 weeks and more. Scroll orders need a minimum of 3 weeks for any quantity above 50. Please convo me if you need something more urgently and I will let you know if I can accommodate your needs.

I usually am not in my studio during the weekends, but will reply to inquiries on Monday.

DIGITAL ARTWORK SUBMISSION:
Make sure your artwork is at least 150 dpi at actual size, saved as a JPEG file, at maximum quality. I can also accept tif, pdf, psd, ai, or eps files - write for my e-mail address after your payment is processed.

COPYRIGHT LIMITATIONS:
Please be aware of copyright issues - NO copies of someone else’s copyrighted artwork without their written permission, or images copied and pasted from someone else's website or blog will be printed.

By placing an order with artfulbeginnings.zibbet.com, you assume full copyright ownership for your submitted material and release Artful Beginnings LLC from any copyright infringement liabilities.

COLOR:
I print only colors in my color chart unless otherwise specified by me. Some color shift may occur from batch to batch of fabric.

All my custom silk items (except for the invitations and scrolls) are dry cleanable. All cotton items are hand washable in cold water. Items may be steam ironed on appropriate heat setting.

I retain the right to refuse or cancel orders where buyer is not the copyright owner of a submitted picture, for non-payment or for any other reason.

All designs in my Zibbet shop are copyright of Artful Beginnings LLC, 2009, whether they are listed, are preliminary designs or are designs specifically custom designed, and can be used only for the items created by Artful Beginnings they were specifically designed for. All other uses are considered copyright infringement unless you have my written permission to use.

DISCOUNTS:
My products are all made by myself in Vermont one at a time. My prices are as stated. I am unable to offer discounts other than listed.

Quantity discounts are offered on sets of more than 50, unless there is a price per unit stated with the listing. All items within a set are going to be the same color and layout - text may be different if so specified in the listing.
