Promote Your Shop With ‘Project Wonderful’!

In this article you’re going to learn about a cost effective way of advertising to bring in targeted traffic to your Zibbet shop.  Advertising with Project Wonderful is also a great way to earn more money through our Referral Program.  We’ll show you how!

So what is Project Wonderful?

Project Wonderful is an advertising broker. People that run websites and blogs can choose to show Project Wonderful Ads.  And advertisers can ‘bid’ for the ad spaces on that website or blog through Project Wonderful.

So how does it benefit you?

The beauty of Project Wonderful is that it is such affordable and

targeted advertising.  You can buy advertising space for less than 2 cents a day!  As an example I bought a spot on a craft blog for 10 cents (you bid on a ‘per day’ basis) and the site received 2,831 unique visits and my ad was clicked 5 times.  Therefore it cost 2 cents per person.  Would you pay 2 cents to get someone to visit your shop?  The best thing is…10 cents really is not a lot of money.  You could do this for 10 different websites with the same results and it would only cost you $1.00!  Assuming the results were the same…you would then be exposed to 28,310 people and have 50 people visit your shop.  All for $1.00!!  Not bad hey?

Check out the sample Project Wonderful Ads, taken from byhand.me (above).

Project Wonderful and Zibbet’s Referral Program…

Advertising through Project Wonderful is a great way to promote not only your shop, but Zibbet as a whole.  Remember, if you refer a new seller to Zibbet, you’ll earn 2.5% of whatever they sell through Zibbet…FOREVER!  And, if you refer a new buyer to Zibbet, you’ll earn 2.5% of whatever that buyer purchases from Zibbet…FOREVER!

It’s a HUGE incentive for you to promote Zibbet using your unique referral link.

You will find a collection of our banners at www.zibbet.com/banners.  When logged in, your unique Referral Links will be automatically inserted for you.

Whether you’re promoting your shop or Zibbet, the process is the same.  Keep reading!

How do I get started?

1. First you need to go to, http://www.projectwonderful.com/ and create an account.  Click the ‘New member? Sign up now!’ link in the top right hand corner of the page and fill in the required details.

2. Once you’ve created an account and are logged in, you then need to click ‘My Ads’ in the top left hand corner of the page.  You then need to click on ‘Create a new ad’ (Creating an ad is basically just uploading the image of the ad).  You then need to choose your ad type…Keep it on ‘Graphical Ad’.  Then you will need to choose your ad size.  We recommend you start with a ’square, 125 x 125′ as this is the most popular ad size that people use on their blogs.  However, you will want to come back and upload banners for each size and possibly a few for each size, depending on what audience you’re trying to target for each one.

3. The next step will ask you, ‘What URL should this ad link to?’.  This is where you need to paste in your unique ‘Referral link’.  If you don’t know what it is, log into your Zibbet account in a new window and click on the ‘Referral Program’ link.  You will be able to ‘copy’ your Referral link from here.  It’s important to use your Referral link if you want to be paid commissions.  You may be promoting your shop with Project Wonderful and the buyer may end up purchasing from a different seller.  If you are using your Referral link, you will get paid 2.5% of what that buyer purchased and whatever else they purchase in the future.

4. You now need to upload your banner ad.  You are free to use one of the many banners we have created for you: www.zibbet.com/banners.  Or, you can use one you have created yourself!  If you’re looking to get a custom banner designed specifically for your shop, we recommend www.zibbet.com/bannermanor.

If you’re using one of the banners on Zibbet, you first need to save it to your computer.  You can do this by ‘right-clicking’ your mouse (PC), or  holding ‘ctrl’ and clicking (Mac), and selecting ’save as’.  You can then return to Project Wonderful and upload the banner by clicking ‘browse’ button.

5. Now that you’ve created your ad, you can now create a ‘Campaign’.  Please watch the video below which will take you through the process step-by-step…

Feel free to contact us if you’re having trouble along the way…we’d love to help!  :)

    Hello everyone :)
Well, I’ve just signed up, added 5$ to my account and placed 2 ads for my shop and 1 for selling at Zibbet in general. I’m excited about the stats. I’ll tell you more soon. Anyone else who has already signed up? success?
    Best regards
    Chris, CDRart
P.S.: by the way, thx for the genious blog, I’d like to know more about effective promotion. And if I design some banners, will they be added to your banners?

  2. CharmedMemory

Hey Chris,I just tried it too,not running yet but says it should within an hour, fingers crossed!
Let me know how your one goes.

well josie, got about 10 clicks for zibbet and my shop here now. I use both an “attract buyers to your shop” and an “attract sellers to zibbet” 125×125 square banner. maybe I’m gonna design some banners for Zibbet soon because I don’t think the one which are uploaded here do best. I’m excited about how you’re doing.
    For what did you advertise?
A hot tip: Make a campaign and chose to spend maximum 0.1 $ and to bid all across. I think that that’s the way you get the cheapest ads. because you don’t need to spend that much on an ad and you don’t need to stay on a site for about a month too I think.
    Wish you well
    Chris, CDRart
P.S.: Folks, I feel like I have to say that everyone should dare to invest 5$ in his future. Check projectwonderful out ;)

  4. jonathan

Wow Chris, that’s a great result!

Feel free to create one of your own banners.

I’m looking forward to hearing of other success stories!! :)

  5. CDRart

    :)
now I’ve got about 30 clicks for about 1.8 $
that’s not bad, is it? ;)
I think I’m gonna create some banners soon.
I’ve already got more than 50 people who visited my referral links.
    but only one signed up.
    Wish you all well
    Chris, CDRart
P.S.: Jonathan, could you tell me about the general success (how much sign-ups) of the referral program so far please?

  6. jonathan

    30 clicks for $1.80..that’s great!

We actually haven’t built in the functionality for us to see how many referrals have signed up to the site yet. We will. ;)

I have heard reports from another seller that he already has 24 people signed up under him! He achieved this through Twittering and chatting about Zibbet in Etsy’s forums. :)

  7. CDRart

    wow, that’s great too ;)
I like the way you always talk about growing further.
That gives me a good mood and hope for the future :)
Could you tell about twittering on one of the next blogs?
Maybe it’s my next ground to explore ;)
At the moment I’m trying to pull the byhand.me folks on board.
you know you like Handmade so they would do great here :)
Best regards & thank you very much
    Chris, CDRart

    Glad you asked!

We will be teaching people the ins and outs of Twitter in our next blog.

    It’s such a powerful tool! :)

  9. CDRart

Well, got 92 Clicks now but only 1 signup still…
I’m really looking forward to your next blog.
I started a new campaign on projectwonderful as my old one ran out.
I now just bid 0.05$ as a maximum. so I won’t get that much placings but very cheap promotion. I’m still excited about projectwonderful.
Any further people who tried it out so far?
What about you CharmedMemory? How are you doing?
    Wish you well
    Regards
    Chris, CDRart

  10. CharmedMemory

    Hey Chris!
I have had 344 views & before I ran project wonderful I think I had only had 24 views so am definitely getting some exposure, only 1 referral signup & still no sales so will have to see how it goes.
Just listed a whole lot more so fingers crossed there is a sale soon!
I ran project wonderful for 5 days & it has cost me $10 so far so am happy with that.
    Josie:)

  11. jonathan

    Hi Josie!

344 views for $10 is a great result! And that 1 referral sign-up could be worth a lot more than that in time to come! :)

Keep up the great work. People may not necessarily buy on the first visit. At the very least it’s good branding and getting your shop out there!

I like the fact that you made your own banner too. I’m impressed with 344 views!!

C’mon people…give Project Wonderful a go! The proof is evident!! ;)

  12. CharmedMemory

    Hi Jonathan,
Thanks,I am rapt with getting that many views & will definitely keep advertising with Project Wonderful.
I’d advise anyone to give it a go,it is very easy to set up,just be careful to not run your ad twice on one page which I stupidly did!
Really is worth the money & I’m sure will end up with sales as a result.
I only had 24 views since I opened shop & the 4days I have been doing the ads I have had another 320!!!
    Everyone should try it.
    Josie:)

  13. CharmedMemory

I just set up a new ad campaign on Project Wonderful,my last one ran out just before 1st of June & since then I have had 34 visits to my shop in 5 days,a definite drop without the ad campaign.
Will let you know in a few days how much my visits have increased!

  14. CharmedMemory

My 5 day ad campaign just finished & I have had 209 visits so that’s 175 visits over 5 days compared to 34 visits without campaign.
Definitely works, just wish I could get a sale though!

  15. MamaSweettater

Thank you so much for blogging about this! I found project wonderful a while back and forgot to bookmark it. I’ve been going crazy trying to find it again. And to the other comments, thanks for sharing your experience with it. Sounds like you’ve had more success than the advertising I’ve tried in the past. I’m definitely gonna give it a shot!

  16. MeKi

Im so fustrated with project wonderful, I keep making campaings and having to cancel them because I dont see anything happening….

  17. kiraanndesigns

I am really stepping up my promotion lately and am giving project wonderful a try. I am giving myself a $10 butget and we’ll see how it goes. I’ll probably design my own avatar to try and better show what I am selling on Zibbet.

  18. beautifullywiredlynx

I get hundreds of clicks free on twitter!

  19. AlwaysCrafty2

Okay i would sure love to use this but i am deaf and can’t figure out the video since i can’t hear anything…suggestions or close caption for the deaf would be awesome.

  20. beadsbeadsbeadsandmore

I would love to try it too, but I am on dial up and have been waiting for half an hour for the video to load and it is not half done..bah humbug

  21. DaisyBlueStore

I have a question… if I put my ‘Referral link’ in as the URL, will people be directed to my shop, or somewhere else?

  22. jonathan

If you use your referral link “www.zibbet.com/DaisyBlueStore/sell” it will go to the ’sell’ page and not to your shop.

  23. EurekaGuides

I don’t get why people are happy to pay for a few hundred clicks. One of my blogs got over 40000 unique visitors in just 4 days and they’re still increasing. I run a site http://www.totalartsoul.com and several of the members have received this too. All I do is use StumbleUpon and Twitter! Both of those are totally free. Even though we don’t have any selling on the site, members have made sales through people contacting them. I know people go on about Project Wonderful but I won’t be trying it when there are so many other FREE ways to get many, many more visitors. Incidentally, I also don’t spend that much time on the computer, most of what I do for the site is automated (although not all cos I like to chat!). :-)
