Meet the Zibbet Team
We are super excited to be launching our new changes to you, and judging by the comments on our ‘FAQ’s Related to Upcoming Changes’ blog, you guys are too! In case you missed it, we were pleased to announce that we will be increasing the amount of items you are allowed to have in your (totally FREE) Basic shop to 25, rather than 15.
I just wanted to quickly thank you all for your support and encouragement. We received a lot of positive emails after we posted the ‘FAQ’s blog’ which clarified a lot of the questions people had about all the changes. If you haven’t read the blog, I strongly encourage you to do so as it has a lot of insightful information in it.
With everything that’s happening, I thought it would be a good opportunity for you to meet the team behind Zibbet. We’re a small team of 3 at the moment, but before the year is out, we’ll be looking for a few additions!
I’m looking forward to getting to know you all better and working with you to make Zibbet the best place to buy and sell handmade goods, fine art, vintage items and crafting supplies.
Remember, if you ever need to contact me personally, my email address is: jonathan@zibbet.com
Kind regards,
Jonathan Peacock

THE TEAM
Jonathan Peacock, CEO and Founder of Zibbet.com
Vision. Innovation. Strategy.
Jonathan oversees and manages the day to day operations of Zibbet.
He is constantly working on ways to improve both the ‘buying’ and ’selling’ experience on the site by implementing new and innovative ideas (most of them suggested by the sellers in our community).
Jonathan is also responsible for marketing and developing the Zibbet brand. Connecting buyers and sellers is of the highest importance.
He has a clear vision for the future of Zibbet and is armed with the strategy and commitment to get there.

Andrew Gray, Director and Co-founder of Zibbet.com
Creativity. Ideas. Motivation.
Andrew is a perfect example of someone you would call an ‘ideas man’. He is forever coming up with creative new ideas and initiatives for Zibbet.
He is both a motivator and a motivated individual. As co-founder, he also shares the same clear vision that our founder, Jonathan, has for Zibbet. And that is to become the most popular online destination for buying creative, handmade works. At the same time, we plan to be the premier online venue for sellers, providing them with a great looking (fully customizable) shop front, the best industry-leading tools for their promotional needs, and the best ‘value for money’.
Smart. Efficient. Invaluable.
Jess is the newest addition to the Zibbet team. He has been working hard to restructure Zibbet and get the new changes in place, ready to launch in just a few days time.
Being our lead developer, all new site features, such as Shop Customization, Widgets, Shop Sections, Rearrange Your Shop etc, are his handiwork. He will also be responsible for developing the myriad of site features still to come.
Jess is a valuable team member. He’s smart and efficient and we’re so excited to have him on board Zibbet with us…and you should be too!

Hi Team (aka Jonathan, Andrew and Jess)
Thanks for all you do!
Lelija
aka Palmeta, aka WearableArt
It’s an absolute pleasure to ‘meet’ the men behind the site. It is great to put faces, and a brief synopsis of what you do, behind the people who have created this site. I am very happy to be here at the beginning and hope to see this site skyrocket to the top as the best site for crafters to sell our goods. Do any of you make crafts to sell also? If not, how did you choose handcrafts? It doesn’t say in your “about us” section. I’m curious.
As a person of faith I will pray that God blesses you all in this great endeavor. ameen

I love all of the energy you put into your company. Great job!

Nice to ‘meet’ the three of you-interesting that, as a handmade venue, there are a vast majority of women buyers and sellers on your site, yet no women in the top tiers as of yet…that might exlain some of the ‘rigidity’ I find in the shipping areas of the shops, as well as the stiffness of the layouts, but as you are still in beta I’m sure this will all change, so I’m trying to be patient.
From your notes, Jonathan, and your amazingly quick responses to issues I’ve raised, I have to say I’m charmed and impressed so far..I hope you will take the other half of the planet into consideration when, and if, the design roundtables happen- looking forward to working with all of you, and those to come!

Hi Jonathan, Andrew and Jess. It’s nice to put faces to the names. Keep up the good work. Hopefully your dreams will come to pass. I’ll be looking forward to seeing how things go. No sales yet, but I’m hopeful as more people find out about Zibbet. Thanks for giving crafters another option for sales.
Great team! Nice to see you here!
Thank you very much:)
Thanks for all your great work. Looking forward to your continued success.
Hi Everyone,
We are so thankful for all your encouragement…it means a lot to know we have the support of our sellers.
To answer a couple of comments above:
@iadiedee - We’ve actually just updated our ‘about us’ page, which has more insight into how and why Zibbet was created. Check it out: http://www.zibbet.com/aboutus
@mizdarlin - With a Premium account (only days away from launch), you’ll be able to fully customize your shop’s color, item thumbnail size, choose from 4 different sized banners, add widgets to your shop, rearrange the items in your shop, plus so much more to come.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know you all better and as mentioned in the post, feel free to email me directly, on jonathan@zibbet.com.

Sept 1, 2009
Nice to meet you all..I am new to Zibbet. I am Pamela, creator of Pie In The Sky Jewelry. I have been on Etsy for a while. Etsy is quite large and I have do marginally well..I must say that I am frustrated with several items on Zibbet:
1. Cannot save avatar or my additional pictures to my profile..when I do my page goes blank
2. the banner, one of America’s most baffling things to do (for me at least). I am creative enough to design it myself. I follow the instructions. I open in Photoshop, open a new doc, put in the size specifications, then I can’t pull my picture into it…so I end up with a blank rectangle. It should be easier I know…but hey I am only an artist.
3. Why is it that I have to my business name in every tag for each time so people can find me when they search for Pie In The Sky Jewelry?
4. I am a premier seller…so why is all this stuff so difficult??
5. I also cannot figure out how to save and put my Zibbet sign on to facebook….I out in my name where I am told to then…nothing happens. I know I am not so computer savvy..I can’t even figure out the whole smiley face thing..not that I wasn’t to..but I am ready to walk. I do not have time to spend all day trying without success to make my shop look how I want it to look…I am not a grumpy girl but tonight I am frustrated becasue I have just spent the last 2 hours trying to figure all this out!!!
No smiley face here…pamela
Nice to meet everyone! I really like it here at Zibbet!
Pamela,
Don’t give up yet. I have those same days on the computer all of the time.
Try adding “My Stuff” to your facebook page. Then you can paste the html code for your Zibbet button there. I don’t know of another place.
Your shop tag is important if someone is searching by your name, and then all of your items will come up. If you don’t connect them, they can plug in your name, and not see any of your items.
Nice blog. Thanks a bunch!
I have tried looking through the all the options on your Zibbet site, but I do not seen to come across a posting I had since recently in reguards to a link with etsy. Can you please send me further information reguarding this matter.
thank you,

I had just created a Zibbet shop and started listing stuffs lately…. And ALREADY loving Zibbet with its fuss free, clean-look, and easy navigation! Great Job! Really enjoy the Zibbet experience… (just hope sale will start rolling in, then it will be perfect! :P)
I wonder if Zibbet can create an “It’s Better Handmade” Facebook Group featuring the shops that post in that FB page similar to what etsy did.
