Featured Zibbeter - QuteWear
Carolyn aka Qutewear started out her business selling on Etsy and has recently made the transition to make Zibbet her main shop to direct her buyers to. With no listing fees and no sales fees…why wouldn’t you!?
She’s currently up to 40 items sold on Zibbet and that number is rapidly increasing. Just in the past 3 days she has sold 5 items!
Carolyn clearly knows a thing or two about selling online. Feel free to ask her your own questions in the comments section. I’m sure she’ll be happy to answer them!
Enjoy the interview…

Tell us a bit about yourself?

Hi, I’m Carolyn and I’m 28 years old. I’m Vietnamese and became Vietnamese Canadian after eight years old and have lived in Toronto ever since. At twelve, I’ve self taught myself how to use a sewing machine after watching my mother working hard for countless hours. I was never a book worm, I consider myself a handy-woman.
-
Apart from being ‘creative’ what do you do?
Aside from working on my online business, I work part-time at the Bridgepoint Hospital as a food services assistance. I am also attending Ryerson Uni and Seneca College for make-up artistry part-time.
-
What inspires you to do the kind of work you do?
Back then I was very much into Japanese animation. Back when Sailor Moon, Dragonball (Z), Pokemon

and Digimon were a big hit on TV. It all began from there.
-
Do you look up to anyone? Who? Why?
My parents were my models. Anyone, whose parents are victims of war will know that these are the most hard working parents. These are parents that have moved countless times in life, trying to find a better place to live for their children. These are the ones that have had performed many jobs in life. Their belief in success will come only if you work hard. Boat people, people who fled for freedom from Vietnam. Most of these boats sank or people became victims of storms or pirates. My father was one of the few lucky survivors of the boat people. Who I admired most for his hard working and willpower from having nothing and still able to get us here to Canada.
-
What other passions do you have in your life?
Aside from working and studying I love to do sports especially snowboarding. I know most people would mention their family and children but as

for me marriage is still a long way from now. I plan to work hard first that way if I do have family of my own they won’t have to have as hard of a time as I did.
-
What do you like most about Zibbet?
Zibbet is unlimited. I love that fact that you can list as many items as you want and not to have worries about fees like eBay and Etsy.
-
What ‘new’ things would you like to see added to Zibbet?
One of the option for seller is to be able a relist an existing or sold item to become a new listing. With just one click away rather than having to upload the photos again for a new listing.

-
How do you promote your work?
All the sites like eBay, etsy, icraft, artfire, ioffer, etc all have links that will go back to Zibbet where I have made it into my main shop.
-
How would you recommend other Zibbeters make the most of Zibbet.com?
Promote it and it will promote you.
-
In the future I’d like to have…
…my own physical clothing store, a restaurant (my family once had one and I want to have one too), and a beauty store. The future holds many opportunities to dream. Dream is where it all starts.
