Competition: Promote and WIN!

Every few weeks we’re going to be running a new competition and give you the chance to win some fantastic prizes.  These will range from discounted Premium Accounts to shopping spree gift vouchers!

This week we’re giving away a FREE Premium Account FOR LIFE!

Worth playing for?  We think so!

Aim of the Competition:

The aim of this competition is to raise awareness about the limited amount of discounted Premium Accounts we have left.

At the moment there’s just 465 Premium Accounts left at the discounted price of just $7/month.  We’re expecting them not to last very long at all!

UPDATE: Now only 415 just 1 week after this competition has been posted.  We’re gaining momentum!

How to enter:

There are a number of ways in which you can help us spread the message and each of them will be an entry to win the FREE Premium Account FOR LIFE…

  1. Post a message like this on Twitter: There’s Only 415 Premium Accounts left on Zibbet at the discounted rate of $7/month. Don’t miss out! http://bit.ly/9lWF4g (This link leads to the ’sell’ page and is shortened for Twitter.  Feel free to insert your own unique referral link here to get referral credits.  Use bit.ly to shorten your referral link)

  2. Post a similar message to Facebook. (You can word it however you like)
  3. Start a thread in a forum/message board that you frequent. (Please don’t SPAM forums and message boards.  If you do, your entry won’t be counted.  Only start threads on sites that you are actively involved in)

  4. Write a blog post.

  5. Any other form of promotion that can be easily linked to…e.g. Plurk, MySpace, Craigslist etc

Once you have posted your Tweet, Update, Blog, Forum Thread etc, copy the link and post it in the comments section of this blog.  Each one will be counted as a separate entry.  Therefore, you have the opportunity to increase your chances of winning by spreading the message via a variety of methods.

Rules:

  1. You can only enter once for each individual method.  In other words, you can’t send 100 Tweets and get 100 entries. You can send 100 Tweets if you like, but it will be only counted as one entry!
  2. You must post the link in the comments section for it to be counted.
  3. All entries must be in by 12:00am on Monday, 22nd February.

The winner will be drawn randomly using random.org and the winner will be posted in the comments section of this blog.

Not only are you entering a competition, but you’re helping to spread the word about Zibbet and raise our profile.  Remember, more sellers = more items, which = more buyer traffic from people finding our sellers items directly through Google and other search engines!  Info about the huge traffic benefits of having more items listed on the site is coming soon…

    Hey Everyone, I’ve been clicking to follow some of your blogs and facebook pages and twitter and I am finding that the shortened URL links you have posted here are actually your zibbet referral links.

    The link to post here to get a chance to win is supposed to be the link to your facebook, twitter or wherever you posted your referral link.

    Therefore I am not finding your facebook, blog or twitter account to follow. And posting your referral link here doesn’t put your name in the hat to win. Hope this helps.

    @PortableGraffiti is right. Make sure the links you post in the comments section link to the actual page where you promoted, otherwise your entry won’t count.

    @RealMcCoy: They’re both totally fine! You didn’t have to shorten your link, just a good habit to get into when posting on Twitter. It allows you to then post more info in your Tweet and also allows people to ‘Retweet’ your post easily! The site to shorten your URL’s, where you can also track how many clicks it got, is http://bit.ly

    I used Stumble Upon to recommend a really awesome article (http://emptyeasel.com/2009/02/26/review-of-zibbet-find-art-love-art/) on Zibbet to the 9,212,362 stumblers. Since it’s not technically promoting the Premium accounts, I’m not sure this counts, but it is getting the Zibbet name out there to people.

    Another UPDATE: We currently have just 431 Premium Accounts left!

    We’ve had to temporarily remove most peoples profile pictures from the blog as there are so many comments on this post that this page wouldn’t load properly and people couldn’t post their comments. It’s a great sign that so many people are on board with promoting Zibbet! We plan to have the profile pictures up and running again soon.
