Tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Cynthia Davis and I enjoy vintage fashions and most creative things like music, dance and painting. I love reading magazines and enjoying nature. I live near the beach and enjoy walking on the shore and seeing the variety of shells. I have recently moved here, and things like seeing dolphins is really a big thrill.
-
Apart from being ‘creative’ what do you do?
I like to watch old movies, history programs and cartoons with my family. I have a great church and we are involved in the worship team. We have wonderful friends we like to hang out with. I love to walk outdoors and watch the birds and small creatures near the lake we are close to. I love to go to concerts. I love thrift shopping and most other shopping

-
What inspires you to do the kind of work you do?
I love old fashions. I love the energy and optimism of the era around the 40’s and 50’s and enjoy the feeling of dressing up and wearing something really different and imaginative. In my designs, I like to reinvent fashion to make it new and fresh and to bring in elements of earlier eras that are still beautiful and feminine for modern wearers. I love creativity and encouraging women especially to be beautiful and happy with their bodies and to treasure their lives and their spirits…and hopefully to reflect the beauty of their ‘real selves’ in their clothing.
-
Do you look up to anyone? Who? Why?
I look up to Jesus Christ most. He is a dear and close friend who really understands like no one else and is so cool to talk to. I look up to him because he has a really wonderful point of view and helps me see things outside the ‘boxes’ I tend to think in. He is really kind and thoughtful and amazes me almost every day with little things he remembers and does for me that no one else knows or cares about.
-
What other passions do you have in your life?

I have a passion for helping people find and achieve their destiny spiritually and to become the person they were made to become. It makes me fulfilled to see others stepping into those new things and getting excited about life.
-
What do you like most about Zibbet?
I like the fact that it reaches an audience outside the US, and love that Aussie buyers shop there. I like the listing process a lot, especially the photo upload process.
-
What ‘new’ things would you like to see added to Zibbet?
I’d like to see some level of control over the graphics in the free shop added, as well as a few design tweaks to the front page to make it more inviting. Maybe an additional picture slot for us fashion sellers
Other than that, I love it as it is. -
How do you promote your work?
I have a couple of blogs, a Twitter and Facebook page and a few sites that I visit from time to time to interact and post pictures of my work, mostly fashion related.

-
How would you recommend other Zibbeters make the most of Zibbet.com?
I think Zibbet is a great opportunity to have a shop home and learn how to promote it without the struggle of website design and maintenance. I would suggest tweaking your page to get it just how you want and promoting it widely to learn to have a part in bringing in traffic to your page.

In the future I’d like to be…
…still creating! I’d like to be able to develop a line of eco-friendly gowns, both formal and wedding in varied sizes and organic fabrics. Most of my wedding gowns are one of a kind, but I think there is a need for designs in more sizes that buyers can buy as is, or add custom touches to. I’d also love to continue to design everyday clothing and accessories because everyone wears that, and creativity in what you wear is a wonderful everyday opportunity.
