Design and Style with Papernstitch: Bedroom Drama
Creating drama in the bedroom is easier than you might think. It really only takes one main ingredient to turn your tired walls into a bold boudoir: wallpaper.
We’re not talking about your grandma’s wallpaper here, so skip the toile this time, unless you really, really love it.
Look for bright colors, but limit your palette to using just one or two, and choose patterns that keep it simple while keeping it interesting.
Some great wallpaper brands to get you started with your bedroom brainstorming…Studio Ditte, Ferm Living, and Cavern. And here is some more inspiration…

What do you think about the come-back of wallpaper? Love it or hate it?

Never liked it and still don’t.
Ditto the above response. Never cared for wallpaper. I’m still recovering from trying to wallpaper my room in the 60’s.
I must admit, I felt the same way as the two of you, up until about a year ago when I discovered all the modern options for wallpaper now. Now I love it. Although, I don’t have any wallpaper in my own house.
I thought I wanted wallpaper in my home until we bought a house where almost every wall was papered. Removing the old wallpaper was a nightmare! Maybe the products that are available today are easier to remove.
I do like the idea of wallpaper on one wall though.
I’m with LOCDesign above. When I bought my house the previous owners papered every vertical surface. It was tired and tacky and I wanted it gone. I may recover someday enough to paper just one wall, but paint can make a statement as well and is so much easier to take chances and have fun with. If you want a pattern, there are stencils, and when you’re tired of them they can be painted over.
I love everything about the room pictured with this article!
