With three beautiful daughters Shannon was destined to learn to make gorgeous hair accessories.
Busy as she is with four beautiful children and one handsome husband, Shannon finds time to do lots of volunteering in her community.

Tell us a bit about yourself?
Hi My name is Shannon Seidner AKA the “Bow Lady” as I am known around town. I have been happily married to a wonderful supportive husband for 11 years and we have 4 beautiful children age 10, 8, 6, 4. Priory to staying at home I was a surgical nurse in the cosmetic field industry. Although I loved working in the medical field, and will probably return to it later in life, for now I am doing exactly what I want to do – working from home and being there 100% for my children. -
Apart from being ‘creative’ what do you do?
I volunteer a lot. A good friend once told me it’s called a helium hand. I was very involved with International MOMS Club for almost 9 with my last position being Regional Coordinator for Southern California. I learned so much not only about myself but it also gave me a sense of fulfillment. After my business picked up and my children were getting older and needed me more (you would think it would be the other way around) I need to take the next step in my life. I still continue to teach private swim lesson’s in the summer, coming up on 19 years now! I also volunteer a lot in my children’s school as well as work with my husband.
-
What inspires you to do the kind of work you do?
I have always been a crafter, but my inspiration for creating hairbows started with having 3 girls of my own.
-
Do you look up to anyone? Who? Why?
My mom always had a whole drawer full of odds and ends for making crafts. Everything we did, we made ourselves. From making our Halloween costumes to school projects. I owe my craftiness to my mom for always giving me free range to create and always having patience and positive criticism.
-
What other passions do you have in your life?
My passion is my family – first and foremost. I love being a wife, mother, daughter, sister and auntie. Spending quality time is key for me and also challenging. This is why I try to only do my work late at night or on the days all my children are in school.
-
What do you like most about Zibbet?
The simplicity, cost effective for small sellers, and how wonderful the support system is.
-
What ‘new’ things would you like to see added to Zibbet?
Little things like the buyers address on the zibbet sale email so it could be easily printed without signing back it to retrieve it. Some different layout options as well as different signature banners that can be added to a personal website. Also, maybe a zibbet app for facebook so you can have a page on your facebook. -
How do you promote your work?
I use a link in my email address as well as list the items on my facebook page.
-
How would you recommend other Zibbeters make the most of Zibbet.com?
It’s all about being able to advertise.
-
In the future I’d like to be…
…exactly who I am. I love my life, love the directions it is going, love the people who surround me. I am the person I want to be.

Terrific interview! I loved meeting Shannon and her family (the picture is beautiful….) and I so admire anyone who can fiddle with a length of ribbon and create a gorgeous bow……..I’m all thumbs, not terribly adept at bow-making……you have some beauties, Shannon - hope you have much success here at Zibbet!
