The Lay of the Land
Learning to navigate a new website is sort of like learning your way around a new town–it takes a little practice. This month I’ll be focusing on helping you find your way around Zibbet’s Community Hub. With some basic descriptions and “how to” directions, you’ll be cruising around the Community in no time! Let’s start with becoming familiar with how Zibbet’s Community Hub is organized and what you can expect to find in each area of the site.
Located immediately below the Community banner you will find a header bar with links to specific sections of the site:
MAIN takes you to the main (or front) page of the Community. On the main page you’ll find links to the most recent postings in forums, groups, blogs and photos. Links to a variety of other information are also displayed on this page. Be sure to scroll down to see everything on the page.
INVITE gives you a quick way to search your e-mail contacts list to find friends to invite to join the Community.
MY PAGE takes you to your individual Community page. This is a great place to share information about yourself and your shop. You can include photos, an RSS feed from the site of your choice, and a link to your shop.
MEMBERS takes you to a list of Community members. You can search this list as well as sort the list by Recently Added, Alphabetical and Random. When you click on a member your will be taken to that member’s Community page.
FORUM takes you to a list of Community forums which includes eleven topic areas to help organize discussions. Forums are by far the most popular use of the Zibbet’s Community Hub and contain a wealth of information.
GROUPS takes you to a list of Community groups. Groups are created by members and most are open for all members to join. In order to post in a group you will need to join that group.
BLOGS takes you to member posted Community blogs (not to be confused with your own blog hosted on a site such as Blogger). All members are invited to post blogs in the Community.
PHOTOS takes you to a collection of all of the photos that have been uploaded to the Community by members. You can sort the collection by Latest, Most Popular or Random.
LEADERBOARDS provides information on trending topics, most active users, popular photos and blogs.
CHAT displays the Community Chat window. Chat provides a place for members to engage in a realtime exchange of text-based conversation.
Take some time to explore each area of Zibbet’s Community Hub as you learn your way around. Feel free to post questions in the forums or here in the comments section. Zibbet is a friendly place and members are eager to lend a helping hand so don’t hesitate to ask for help. There’s truly no place like Zibbet!

Is it possible to create ‘gift certificates’ as a listing so that customers can choose to buy a gift certificate in different denominations ($20, 30, 50.00)? If anyone has any suggestions I would be most grateful.
Yes, it’s possible to create gift certificate listings. That’s exactly what you need to do in order to sell gift certificates.
