Photos can be added to both your Community page and to discussions. Both are great ways to promote your items. I strongly suggest that you include a link to the item in your Zibbet shop from every item photo that you post. It’s important to make it easy for a potential buyer to find an item where they can purchase it–a direct link from the Community to your shop is the best way to accomplish that! Let’s start with instructions for adding a photo to a discussion.

Click the Image button in the toolbar:

The Add Image dialog box will appear:

Click Browse. The Choose File to Upload dialog box will appear:

Navigate to the location on your computer where the photo is stored. Select the photo and then click the Open button (or double click the file that contains the photo). You will be returned to the Add Image dialog box:

The path to the photo file will appear in the box to the left of the Browse button and the name of the file will appear below the box. If you want to add a link to the photo, type or paste the destination URL into the Link box. Adjust the size of the image by entering the number of pixels in the Width box. When you have entered all of the information, click the OK button. Your photo will appear in the Reply box.

Add text, links and/or additional photographs as desired. Click the Add Reply button when you are done.

Now, instead of posting just a link to an item in a promotional discussion, you can also post a photograph of the item. I am much more inclined to investigate an item further if I see a photograph rather than a link alone. Next week I’ll explain how to add photographs to your Community page.
