Fantastic Five: Organic
What’s all this talk about GMOs and what is it? GMO stands for genetically modified organism. Most of the food found in grocery stores is genetically engineered. You might want to do some research, but one example is when you eat GMO insect resistant corn it may be like eating pesticides.
One way to avoid GMOs is to shop for organic products.
Zibbet has many shops that sell organic foods, personal products, clothing, and products for your home. I searched on Zibbet and found over 1500 items labeled organic.
1. Bread and Butter Carrots by Weaver Works $7: Pint jars of yummy homemade, home canned organic carrots have been spiced like bread and butter pickles. Think of Amish home cooking and buggies lined up at the farmhouse door.
2. Organically Grown Lavender Wands by Locks of Silver $15: I think everyone is going to want these. Completely handmade with satin ribbon and the organic lavender is homegrown and hand cut by the artist.
3. Certified Organic Cotton Undyed Yarn Samples by Thoughtful Gems $2.75: This Pakucho organic cotton yarn grows naturally in cream, beige, brown, avocado and mauve shades. You are looking at the natural colors, not dyed. And it’s certified organic, grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides or other agri-chemicals.
4. Lip Balm Pick Three (Organic and Herbal) by Sea Willow Herbs $10: This is a sweet deal on these soft and creamy organic and herbal lip balms! All the herbs are sensibly wildcrafted or grown organically for harvesting. The oils used are all organic. Wise choice!
5. Organic Hemp Face Moisturizer by Mu London $22: The artist in London who created this organic hemp moisturizer says, it is fresh, woody, smoky, green and mystical - it heals and protects with Shea Butter, pure hemp seed oil and the exclusive and rare hemp essential oil.
