1. Tell us a bit about yourself?

I’ve been a commercial illustrator for over 25 years. I also paint murals for community projects .  I taught airbrush techniques at a glass studio, which got me interested in etching and engraving.

2. Apart from being ‘creative’ what do you do?

Most everything I do is creative.   Art is my “day job” and the quest to be creative goes into everything I do.   In my free time I love to cook and am currently experimenting with a variety of Indian dishes.  I also enjoy Japanese and Thai cooking and making sushi.   I also like to work on my Jeep, go skiing with my family,  and spend summers at Lake Powell.

3. What inspires you to do the kind of work you do?

Many of the brides I deal with have grand ideas for their weddings, and I’m constantly being given new ideas and inspiration.

4. Do you look up to anyone? Who? Why?

My wife, who is my business partner, and I enjoy spending time with my children and doing things as a family.

5. What do you like most about Zibbet?

The friendly atmosphere.

6. How do you promote your work?

Facebook, word of mouth.

  • In the future I’d like to be…

    Exactly what I am.

Hi Brad — I, too, am an artist and was born in Denver. Painting murals must be a fascinating part of your artistic endeavors. Maybe you could sell prints of those creations here on Zibbet.

You’re right about Zibbet’s friendly community. It’s the best. Warmest welcome to you and your indespensable partner. Tell her hello from me.

Wonderful Interview! It is amazing to me when such talented people become the feature here……I admire the artists from afar, somewhat intimidated by such God-given talent; I so love the cake knife/server that is pictured here, and can’t wait to see what else I find when I get to the Shop - on my way now!
      Continued success to you…..
