Description

"Madonna of the Sidewalk" is a Digital Imaging Print which dwells on the ageless theme of the "Madonna and Child". Here, however, the Madonna and Child icon is transposed into the Philippine setting. The Virgin now wears native Filipina costumes, and looks purely Filipina and Asian.
Although this is a digital imaging print, the Madonna and Child image was actually painted by the artist before it was digitally rendered. With the painting tools available in the Photoshop and Corel programs, this image is then combined with digitally rendered images of typical Philippine icons, such as the Philippine Jeepney, and "Bayanihan" or Cooperative Work. Design elements from other paintings of the artist are also incorporated into this print.

This is a limited edition print and has an edition of fifteen (15). There are still nine (9) available editions of this print.

The image is printed on acid-free Star paper. Ink used is plasticized ink, which prevents this artwork from fading or evaporating and guarantees its existence for generations to come.
If purchased the item will be sent to the buyer inside a plastic tube and will be sent, to ensure its safety, by FedEx. Thus, the shipping cost is actually the approximate cost charged by FedEx. It will reach the buyer within two weeks from date of shipping.
