Hi there! I'm Lauren, a British-American artist living in Brooklyn, NY, and flaurena™ is my creative alter ego.

I grew up all over the world, mainly the UK, the US and Spain: the name flaurena™ (pronounced flor-EH-na) is a hybrid of two Spanish words - flor (meaning flower) and Lorena (Lauren, my name, in Spanish).

- a fabulously floral twist on modern costume jewellery.

I create custom and pret-a-porter jewellery in gold-filled and/or sterling silver wire, adorned with glorious beads, sparkling crystals and other eye-catching materials.

Due to the intricate woven nature of wire, each lightweight piece is absolutely unique.

Using the shapes and colours found in nature as my inspiration, each jewellery collection is named after something floral.

To be able to use my hands to transform something as masculine and industrial as wire into a feminine and organic piece of jewellery is a process that I am always thrilled by!

I also offer original artworks in ink or oil paint. Sometimes I even add a little gold leaf... Currently I'm working on a 30" x 40" canvas of the Venetian skyline, my most ambitious painting to date!
