goatmountainarts's Shop Policies
Welcome
Goat Mountain is, well, it's a house on a mountain and I'd have some goats. I'd bring the dogs. Although they'd all suck at livestock guardians so I'd get a couple more. Anatolians probably. There would be a big old garden and a stack of wood outside the door that would magically replenish every season.
It's the place my husband and the boy get a panicked look about when I mention it. As if I'm about to haul ass up the mountain, leaving them behind. Which some days, seems like a not so bad option. But most of the time I like it here.
But, an option it isn't and for now I live in Northern VA, with the three dogs and the husband and the boy. Being a Jack of All Trades, Master of None type my creative output is all over the place. So here you will find all sorts of things I hope you'll like.
If you see something you like but you'd like it better another way, convo me, I'm flexible.
As for the tag line, well it's not after Rumpelstiltskin, I mean does anyone notice the King was going to whack her and the Dad if she couldn't spin straw into gold. Then he was all 'Oh, I'll marry you now!' Yuck.
Rather it conveys the idea of turning the ordinary into something extraordinary. So that's a bit of my story, hope to see you around.

Ten percent of all profits are tithed to Big Paw Rescue http://search.petfinder.com/shelterSearch/shelterSearch.cgi?shelterid=OH685&preview=1 in addition to other small run dog rescues.
Working with and helping dogs across the nation is our life long passion. All three of our dog's are rescues and we look forward to being able to assist more dogs and the people who care for them as we grow.
Ever transported? Check out http://ruralshelterhelp.blogspot.com/ The realities of shelter dogs even as close as an hour out are much different than the ones here. Most rural shelters are understaffed and almost all still use gas to kill the dogs that can't find homes.
If you have a couple hours on the weekend you can save a dog's (often more than one) life simply by driving it from one transporter to the next. When a dog has five days in a shelter before being put down, a few hours of your time can make all the difference.
Shipping Information
***INTERNATIONAL SHIPPERS you can use this link http://ircalc.usps.gov/ to get an idea of what shipping is from here to your country. I would enter a minimum of 8 ounces, a pound is better.*** Enter YOUR country and it will tell you how much to ship from USA. Please, do this before ordering to avoid having to cancel a sale.
I will ship Internationally. Please contact me for a FINAL rate before paying for a purchase. My experience has been shipping to Canada is about the same postage, elsewhere a little over double.
I do ship Worldwide I can ship up to a pound for $10.50 or seven soaps for $12.50 International Flat rate. It's best to buy this way because shipping even 5 ounces of soap runs almost $5.00.
Canada is about a dollar (US) more. The US and the shipping is in my listings.
Refunds, Returns and Exchanges
Paypal is accepted. payment is due within 24 hours or sale will be canceled.
Because monitors register color differently all fabric sales and fiber sales are final.
Pinks, yellow and orange in particular will be much more saturated in person then pictured.
Due to hygiene issues, soaps cannot be returned or exchanged.
Extra Information
Why is shipping for one bar of soap $5.05?
................................
If you do a search say, by 'soap' you'll see my rates are competitive. Compare product price as well and then factor in together.
Some sellers charge $2.20 a bar plus $1.50 each, some do flat rate like I do. It's not often that someone buys just one bar of soap. Once you hit 13 ounces the rates go up, for us, the sellers.
Three and up bars goes into a Flat Rate USPS box which costs $5.05 for me to post. Under that gets wrapped up and sent First Class which may or may not be cheaper. I don't like to use that much cardboard for two or less.
Also, shipping a bar of soap to the East Coast, where I live is one thing, it goes way up when I ship to say, Seattle. So, I made a decision a long time ago to make a Flat Rate.
As a seller it also takes into account packaging, etc. and allows me to keep my prices where I'd like them to be. USPS supplies are free, but I prefer to be as eco conscious as I can and us alternative packaging when possible.
I can assure you, the shipping is not a back door profit. Soap is heavy, towels are heavy, all are a business cost. I do not refund differences in shipping.
