Description

This very large cowry shell was a
trip to work with! So many ideas as
to what make stirring and only a few
large shells left. I have framed the
cowry shell with a large round mother
of pearl shell to pay respect to this
beautiful historical specimen.

Traditionally this shell has been used
as one of the first pieces of currency
and trade. Artists continue to create
with cowry shells today, allowing a
slight peak into the history of this highly
regarded sea creature.

Cowry Shell colors are faint in photos,
more to follow soon. I have used many
textures of tiger eye, bone, wood to name
a few to add to the rustic elegance to what
my kinda guy would wear. This necklace
was designed with my kind of guy in mind
but is also for our ladies that love a more
earthy touch to their style and wardrobe.
