I graduated from Brandeis University, majoring in Art History with the intention of becoming a full-time oil painter, or a concept artist at a video game studio like Blizzard, Massive Black, or Square-Enix, but recent literary interests have slightly suppressed the latter . Now I am just thoroughly confused, though life is more exciting as a result. I never loved reading until I started my first job book-shelving at the Goldfarb Library at Brandeis University. I suspect the discovery of C-SPAN’s Book Talks and Richard D. Heffner's The Open Mind also had an effect. After taking classes in English literature, Greek & Roman literature and Political Philosophy, I finally started to delve into library shelves outside of the Fine Arts section. This has led to a deep fascination with 19th century leather bookbinding, literary and philosophical anthologies, typography and layout design in the vein of Bruce Rogers, letterpress printing via Mr. Kay Kramer of The Printery, readings toward a liberal education, and, of course, bibliomania.
