Please read all of our policies carefully to ensure that there are no misunderstandings about your order.
When you place your order with Marie Dean, you agree to ALL of the terms and conditions on this page including the Turn-Around-Time to create orders and our Shipping Policy. If you do not agree with any of the policies expressed here, please do not place an order with us.
Our products are not in stock at the time of purchase. All of our products are handmade per order and our turn-around-time may be somewhat longer than what you are accustomed to for commercially available products. It will take 5 business days to create the products and prepare your order. Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States. During sales, it can take up to two weeks to ship your orders. You will be sent a shipment confirmation after your order has been shipped.
PRODUCT SHELF LIFE:
Our products are made using natural ingredients and a reliable, safe paraben-free preservative. We recommend using our products within 12 months of purchasing them. The shelf life can be extended by storing the product in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
We've created hair and body products specifically for customers who are butter-sensitive, oil-sensitive and protein-sensitive. These products are noted as OILESS, BUTTERLESS or PROLESS. Please see our Product Abbreviation List below.
PRODUCT ABBREVIATION LIST:
PLUS - Butters or Oils have been added to the ingredients.
OILESS - The product does not contain oils; perfect for individuals who are oil-sensitive.
BUTTERLESS - The product does not contain butters; perfect for individuals who are butter-sensitive.
PROLESS - The product does not contain proteins; perfect for individuals who are protein-sensitive.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card for Zibbet purchases through PayPal. We also accept money orders.
WE ONLY SHIP TO CONFIRMED PAYPAL ADDRESSES. BILLING AND SHIPPING ADDRESS MUST MATCH. WE WILL NOT SHIP TO YOUR ADDRESS LISTED ON ZIBBET. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR ADDRESS IS CORRECT ON PAYPAL BEFORE ORDERING. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL PAYMENTS SHIPPING TO UNCONFIRMED ADDRESSES OR PO BOXES. UNCONFIRMED PO BOXES ADDRESSES MUST PAY WITH A MONEY ORDER. PLEASE VISIT PAYPAL TO CONFIRM YOUR ADDRESS.
MONEY ORDER PAYMENTS:
Orders will not be processed until payment is received. We can only accept funds issued in U.S. Dollars (no international money orders or cashier’s checks).

Money orders are accepted, however, your order will not be shipped until your money order clears our bank. We can only accept funds issued in U.S. Dollars (no international money orders or cashier’s checks).

Marie Dean does not accept personal checks.
Orders will be canceled if not paid within 24 hours.
ORDER CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS:
We do not accept order changes once an order has been processed.
All cancellations MUST be made within 24 hours of making your purchase. Please submit any cancellations via email to customerservice[at]mariedeanonline.com. We start creating your order rather quickly and can only accept order cancellations within 24 hours.
Email cancellations must contain the following: First name, last name, order number, and email address. This information must be identical to the information originally submitted on your order. Please provide contact information so that we may contact you if we have questions in regards to canceling your order.
Every effort will be made to accommodate the cancellation of your order, providing your order has not been created or shipped out. In the event that a cancellation was submitted (via email), and your order was already created after that submission, we will reserve the right to not refund the complete balance charged including tax.
Orders which are REFUSED AT DELIVERY will be assessed a 10% fee - including restocking, cancellation and other applicable fees.

We will ship to your address that is on your PayPal Transaction ID for the sale.
We use FedEx Home Delivery and Ground as our primary carrier to ship our packages as we have found it to be very reliable, easily trackable, and cost effective. We only use USPS for POBs, Military Addresses, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and International shipments.
- FedEx Home Delivery delivers on Saturday.
- All shipments through FedEx and USPS come with a tracking number. We provide a tracking number via email as soon as the package is scanned by FedEx or USPS.
LOST/DAMAGED/STOLEN FEDEX AND USPS PACKAGES AFTER DELIVERY:
Our shipping method does not require direct signature at the time of delivery. Occasionally, FedEx or USPS will ring your doorbell, oftentimes they will not. If you are not at home at the time of delivery your package may be dropped at your doorstep or another location near your residence by the delivery driver.
We have no control over where FedEx or USPS may leave your package. Any package left at your doorstep or another location near your house is your responsibility. We will not be responsible for lost, damaged or stolen packages after they have been delivered. Again it is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that the recipient will be home on the day of delivery to accept the package. No refund will be issued and no order will be reshipped if FedEx or USPS has updated your package information as “Delivered.”
If you know that you will not be home at the time of a delivery to accept the package, or your residence is not safe to leave a package at, please ADD YOUR PLACE OF BUSINESS TO YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT. THIS MUST BE A CONFIRMED PAYPAL ADDRESS or include this information in the "Message to Seller" box on the third check out page to request one of the following shipping options:
- Hold your package at a nearby FedEx or USPS location (FREE).
- Direct Signature: requires the signature of someone who is 21 years
of age or older at the recipient's address ($3.50 FedEx / $2.45 USPS). We will email you a PayPal invoice for the cost.
If you REFUSED DELIVERY OR FAIL TO CLAIM your package from FedEx or USPS, it will be returned to Marie Dean and we will not reship your package again for free. If you request a refund, we will deduct from your order amount the actual shipping cost and the shipping cost billed to Marie Dean for the return of the package. You will be responsible for all shipping costs to have the package shipped out for a second time.
We are a small business and cannot afford to remake an order and reship for free after we have received confirmation of delivery.
INCORRECT ADDRESSES FOR FEDEX SHIPMENTS:
If you supply us with an incorrect address/zip code, we will charge you the extra shipping charges that occur for correcting the address or intercepting the package; you agree to this additional charge to your PayPal account. FedEx charges $11.00 for delivery intercepts/address corrections -- please make sure your address is correct!
TRACKING YOUR FEDEX PACKAGE:
We will email you a tracking number after your order is shipped. Please be sure to track your package and make arrangements for someone to accept it upon delivery.

Claims for shipments lost with the USPS will not be initiated until 30 days after date of shipment to give the post office time to make delivery on packages that may be delayed in transit. We cannot process a claim for a shipment that is scanned as "Delivered" by the post office. Contact your post office and speak to your postal carrier as soon as you determine you haven't received your shipment.
We ship internationally to Canada and United Kingdom. We use United States Postal Service Priority Mail for all International Shipments. The prices quoted on Zibbet are for medium flat rate boxes ONLY. I will send you an invoice for the additional fees if your order requires to be shipped in a large flat rate box. Please see the rates below for shipping via United States Postal Service:

Please do not ask us to declare your merchandise as Used Goods, Gifts or Samples, or to under declare its value.
International orders may take up to 30 days to arrive. Often, international packages are held at customs for 2-4 weeks before being delivered. United States Postal Service has no control of the delivery of mail once your package reaches the destination country.
CUSTOMS COSTS FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS:
The shipping charges you pay to Marie Dean do not include customs fees, import taxes, brokerage fees, or duties. International orders are generally subject to customs fees, import taxes, brokerage fees, or duties. We are not responsible for, nor can offer any specific advice regarding any customs related fees that you may incur. Additional charges for customs clearance must be accepted by you. Please check with your country's customs officials for any rules regarding importing cosmetic (beauty) products.
If you refuse to pay the customs fees when your order arrives, the shipment will be returned to Marie Dean and we will be charged the customs fees plus return shipping costs. Therefore, we do not issue refunds for customs fees, shipping, or the cost of your order if you refuse to pay the customs fees.
USPS INTERNATIONAL CLAIMS:
Claims for USPS International shipments can take up to 2 months to complete. If your shipment is lost or damaged, we can only initiate a claim after the 30th day of shipment and prior to the 60th day.
ABANDONED USPS INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS:
There will be no credit or refund to the customer for the order if the package is abandoned at customs.
PAYPAL NOTICE FOR U.S. AND INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:
Unless you have a “confirmed” address on your PayPal account, we will not accept the payment nor ship your order. If you are wishing to purchase with a credit card you must set up a “confirmed” account with PayPal and process your payment through PayPal.
SHIPPING LIABILITY DISCLAIMER:
Marie Dean is committed to prompt, secure shipping; however, we will not be responsible for lost, damaged or stolen packages after they have been delivered to your supplied shipping location. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that the recipient will be home on the day of delivery to accept the package. If in doubt, consider shipping to the recipient's place of business OR notify us to hold your package at a FedEx or USPS location nearest you. Please contact us by including a note in the "Message to Seller" box on the third check out page.
Packages that are refused, unclaimed or returned to us will not be shipped again free of charge. The buyer will be responsible for the actual shipping costs associated with any reshipping of packages.
SUMMER SHIPPING NOTICE FOR:

During the hot summer months, we are unable to guarantee that the hair or body butters will arrive in the same condition that they were sent. Hair and body butters purchased during hot weather may melt during shipping. If melting occurs, simply place the hair and/or body butter in a cool place or the refrigerator until it becomes firm. These items cannot be refunded or exchanged if they melt.
Refunds, Returns and Exchanges
REFUNDS & RETURNS:
We do not accept returns or make exchanges under any circumstances. No exceptions. All of our products are handcrafted and made-to-order and therefore, we do not accept returns, issue refunds or credits. We do not exchange our products or give refunds if a hair or body product scent* is not to your liking or if there are variations in color and texture. If you are unsure of a particular scent, please order the small size first before purchasing a large size. Packages returned to us will be discarded and cannot be returned to the customer!
If you have any questions about your order, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order so we can provide you with the best customer service solution possible.
*If you are allergic to fragrances, have a super sensitivity sense of smell or develop reactions to certain scents and smells, we highly recommend you order an unscented version of a product. Bear in mind that when ordering unscented products -- what you smell is what is in the product. Unscented products are not returnable and are not refundable.
FEDEX / USPS RETURNS:
Should you fail to claim your order and it is sent back to us, we will not re-ship for free. If a refund is requested, we will deduct the actual cost of shipping and the shipping cost billed to Marie Dean for the return of the package from your refund.
If the package(s) is returned to us because of an address error made by the customer or the customer refuses the package or the items ordered are not allowed into the country by customs, the customer will be responsible for the actual shipping cost and the shipping cost billed to Marie Dean for the return of the package.
There will be no credit or refund to the customer for the order If the package is abandoned at customs.
Why won't you ship to any other address than the confirmed address?
Once we ship to any address other than the CONFIRMED ADDRESS sent to us by Paypal with your Transaction ID for that particular sale we leave the door wide open for chargebacks. Chargebacks are when Paypal takes the money away from us for products we shipped and fraud has occurred. We lose the products shipped, PayPal takes the money back they paid us and we also have to pay a $20 chargeback penalty fee.
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS & CONDITIONS:
