Description

Small clock made from Maple Burl and Mahogany. It is finished with tung oil, resulting in a satin, soft to the touch, but durable finish. This would make an excellent desk timepiece.

Burl wood can contain irregularities which will be seen as cracks and holes, and can affect the smoothness of the finish. All normal, and results in a very unique item.

The clock insert is of better quality. The frame is metal with a glass lens. The clock face is 1 7/16" in diameter. For battery replacement or setting the time, simply push out the insert from the back with the eraser end of a pencil.

Pure tung oil is used, and thinned for application with citrus solvent. This results in a finish that contains no VOC and makes my shop smell really good during the finishing process.

Size: 2.75" high by 4" wide by 1.25" deep.

The photos here are of the actual item to be purchased, serial number 027. The photo containing the table tennis ball is for judging the size of the clock only. The ball is not included - unless you really want it. Just indicate in the order.
