Welcome to my shop. Well, actually, just a corner of my garage.

I retired from a career in computers several years ago, and started looking for some activity to take up my spare time while not out looking for photographic subjects (another small business). I started making wood gifts for friends and relatives, which expanded into sales online and at local bazaars along with my photographs.

The various items here are all my design. I select wood based on interesting grain and color, and are finished to bring out the figure in the wood. No stain is used in finishing so as not to mask the beauty of the wood.

The finishing process starts with tung oil. I use pure tung oil, and thinned where necessary with citrus solvent. This makes my shop smell really good during the finishing process. Sometimes a varnish is used for the top coat if this enhances the piece.
