These chunk earrings are my current favourites because of the way they swing close to your head and have such a modern, sculptural presence. The colour on this set suggests metal, or ancient tile or fresco.

I am excited about this new line of hollow polymer clay work. I'm using a variety of colour techniques to make these, some cane work, some are just mixed free hand and small details are added at the end to complete the graphic.

These are wonderfully light but have some visual substance. This is my pet peeve with larger earrings – they weigh down my head and hurt like crazy after about 20 minutes.

The great pleasure of these earrings is that they are VERY lightweight, so much so that you don't even notice that you are wearing them.

Please note that since these are (of course) a handmade product, they are not an identical match, but are as close in size and colour so as to make an interesting set.

These are tumble polished with 4 grits for a dull sheen, and then hand buffed – but they are not sealed. I really like the natural waxy sheen of the polymer.

The findings are all sterling silver.

The clay part of the earring measures 1 in. long by 1/2 in. wide by 7/8 in. high. (24 mm by 1o mm by 20 mm.)
