Description

These bookmarks are brightly colored and heavily textured: the base is a thin, flexible strip of polymer clay with acrylic paint rubbed in (and off). Some have raffia stitched and secured to extend the length of the piece. Each one has been lightly buffed to bring up the shine on the exposed polymer.

In developing my work, I do a lot of experiments in texturing and painting the clay surface. These lovely things came out of making gifts with my kids for their teachers. Such fun to make and also great gifts for the teachers in your life.
