Tender Touch is owned an operated by Margaret Gallegos and Lynda Hayter. We began as an idea from creating baby blankets that we donated to a Crisis Pregnancy Center. This was just the beginning of fostering friendships and having a time for fun and relaxation. With these friends, we took a trip to a beach wedding and found ourselves enthralled with a boutique shop that had some unique baby clothing. We looked at each other and said, "We can do this!"

Our next idea was inspired from Margaret's granddaughter, Isabella, who was a 1 lb 4 oz preemie. Clothing was hard to find for her in Tucson, Arizona. In the NICU at the hospital in Mesa where she was born, she was kept in t-shirts that were just too large and just very plain. Bringing her home after three months was no better. We started with preemie and added clothing up to 1 year.

Every step in the process of developing Tender Touch has been carefully planned from researching the preemie field of clothing to purchasing the proper materials that are appropriate for a preemie baby’s delicate body. We continue to research the materials industry always looking for 100% cotton that is exceptional quality in different prints that compliment each other for an outstanding product.
