INFANT & TODDLER GOODS:
I receive so many custom orders that I keep low quantities on hand. Most items take 48hrs from purchase time to completion, however, some may take up to 7 days based on special needs (i.e. out-of-stock shirts, multiple shirts purchased). I will contact you if a time frame greater than 48hrs is needed. Please keep in mind that each handmade applique is sewn by hand, and some designs require a significant amount of detailing. I am extremely meticulous with my work, and will not let anything leave my shop unless I am completely satisfied with each and every stitch.

I work in a smoke-free, pet free environment.

VINTAGE ITEMS:
Each item is thoroughly inspected before being listed and again before shipping. If there is a mark or nick I failed to detect before listing, I will contact you before shipping it out and will gladly reduce the item price based on such findings or cancel the purchase completely.

CREATIVE PROCESS:
I create what I enjoy for the sake of keeping my hands and mind busy. I began making appliques for infant bodysuits after the birth of my son. I began altering his clothes because I was unhappy with what I did not see on the shelves, and then the bug bit me! I started sketching ideas and resourced my old drawing books, and soon a handful of projects turned into a little brand I call The Bird & Elephant.

As for the UPcycled & REpurposed items, well, I soon found myself with scraps of fabric, felted sweaters, out-dated clothing, beach finds, antler buttons and swatchbooks of leather samples that I just couldn't throw away. I never know what will come of such pairings, but hats for the kiddos, cuffs, unique necklaces....

Shipping Information

All infant and toddler clothing, as well as, UPcycled & REpurposed goods are shipped via USPS First Class Mail. Fragile items are well padded and will either USPS First Class or Priority Mail, depending on size or weight. If you prefer one method over another, contact me for arrangements.

Want something overnight? Let me know and I will happily adjust your shipping charge. Custom orders for infant & toddler clothing or UPcycled & REpurposed items can be sent overnight once completed. See above for info on custom orders.

Refunds, Returns and Exchanges

I stand behind the products I sell. I describe each item to the fullest, every little bit of it. I'm extremely honest about the quality of my goods. That being said, if upon receipt of your item, you find it lacking in the quality you expected or not to your liking, don't hesitate to let me know and I will refund your purchase minus shipping charges.
