Welcome to The Skin You're In. After all, it really is all about the skin...you're skin. Each of us has varied needs, wants and desires where bath and beauty products are concerned and we sincerely hope we can satisfy most, if not all, of what you're looking for. We test each of our products using a wide range of product testers and have done hours of research on the various ingredients we've chosen.

Most of our soaps are made the old fashioned cold process or hot process method using Sodium Hydroxide, also known as lye. You cannot have soap without lye. A chemical reaction occurs when combining a lye/water mixture with vegetable or animal fats, transforming this into soap and glycerin, with no lye remaining. This reaction is known as saponification which literally means "the making of soap."

Although the above mentioned type of "soap" is our preferred method, we also indulge in crafting artisan type soaps using a glycerin soap base.

Whether you buy soap from us or another shop, every time you use a bar of handmade soap, you know it was made with the personal touch of a soapmaker.

We do not intend or imply that any of our products will cure or relieve the affects of any skin condition or ailment. If you have any allergies, please read the individual product descriptions carefully as we give full disclosure of every ingredient in each product.

In many of our products, we use or have available Essential Oils as fragrance choices. If you are pregnant or nursing, please check with your health care provider before using products containing Essential Oils.

Shipping Information

We always ship via USPS, at least within 72 hours of your purchase and usually always sooner. Most multiple-item purchases will be sent via USPS Priority Mail and depending on the weight, USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate envelope or box. We will always ship using the most economical means possible for our customers.

All purchases will always be wrapped and packaged securely to ensure your package will arrive intact and undamaged. We care about our environment and firmly believe in recycling and reusing packaging products as often as possible.

Refunds, Returns and Exchanges

Have you ever bought something that, upon receiving it, you just were not that happy with it for some reason. I know I have and there's nothing worse than having to stand in a long customer-service line to return it! If you are not happy with a product you have ordered from us, please do not hesitate to let us know.

We want your handmade bath and beauty experience to be a positive one, so let us know how we can make you happy. If your product arrived to you damaged in any way, let us know by sending a picture of the damaged item. We automatically add insurance to purchases over $20.00, so your item can easily be replaced or your money refunded.
