I love garage sales and thrift shops -- they have so many treasures just waiting to be found!

Well, I found a bunch of Garbage Pail Kids trading cards not long ago at a thrift store. Wasn't sure what I was going to do with them at the time I bought them, but just knew I needed to buy them. Maybe it was because I remembered them when they originally came out, back in the 80's. They were designed to parody the very popular Cabbage Patch Kids, though these kids had some serious issues! Each sticker card featured a Garbage Pail Kid character, with some comical abnormality and/or suffering some terrible fate, and a humorous, word play-rich character name. Two (and sometimes three) versions of each card were produced, with variations featuring the same artwork but different character names.

OK, enough history. Here's what I finally decided to do with my stash of cards.....

I have created topsy-turvey journals. Again, a reference to something from my childhood. Topsy-turvey books were 2 books in one -- you read all the right-hand pages for one story, then flipped the book and again read all the right-hand pages for a second story. That's how these journals work. Start on either side and write only on the right-hand pages. When you're finished, flip the book and you've got a whole new journal waiting for you!

I sorted my stash of cards, and pulled out all cards for which I had 2 versions (as mentioned above, these cards have the same artwork but different names) and decided to call them my Split Personalities journals. :-)

You will receive a random mix of 4 Split Personalities. The one in the picture is for ILLUSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY; you may or may not receive that journal. Journals have either pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, light blue, purple, brown, cream, or white pages. If you have a preference, please let me know. However, other than page colors and no duplicates in your set, there aren't any other preferences I can guarantee.

Journals are wire-bound, and measure 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches.

NOTE: These journals are NOT made with acid-free materials.

PS: I have LOTS more than what is indicated....need more than what's listed, just let me know!
