Description

This Japanese Paper Doll (warabe ningyo) is hand-folded with chiyogami and washi paper. Although slightly shorter than our usual affair, she is still very pretty. This little hinasama wears a kimono in a bright red with gold accents and multicolored scenes and landscapes from Kyoto. She has three contrasting layers in brown, red, and blue near the neckline. A red and green butterfly with a tiny piece of green foil decorate her hair.

Kaede would look stunning in a scrapbook, or as an embellishment on a card or package. If you would prefer her as a refrigerator magnet, please indicate so in your order and I will attach one to her back. This style of doll is the perfect size for any project!

She will arrive between two sheets of cardboard to keep her flat during shipping.

*NOTE* Since the original has been sold, the doll you receive may differ very slightly in hairstyle or pattern placement. Although I use the same paper and materials, each doll is truly one-of-a-kind!
