Great Horned Owl 1950 Mid-Century Athos Menaboni Natural History Antique Lithograph

by PetitPoulailler

From Athos Menaboni, here is a heavy paper featuring the Great Horned Owl.

Italian-born artist Athos Menaboni arrived in Georgia in the late 1920's and remained active until his death at ninety-four. His early career focused primarily on corporate projects, including the creation of murals for clients in Atlanta, before he turned to painting birds from life, usually in pairs and in their natural habitats.

Today Menaboni is best known for his numerous paintings of more than 150 different species of birds native to the Atlanta region.

His Great Horned Owl work shows little tanning, the reverse has a key to the illustration (see the third photo), and the paper is clean and smooth and without creases, tears, folds, or marks. The image is full-page, measuring 9" x 12" (23x31 cm) with a natural matting border. Ready for your frame! Perfect for card and tag creations, scrap-book page making, collage.

You are purchasing an original 1950 paper and it does not have watermarks. I will send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
