Greeting Card Imbolc Spring from an Original Painting

by catbirdcraft

'Imbolc' greeting card is left blank for you own message and comes with a white envelope. The size of the card is 15cm x 10.5cm or 6"x4". From an original acrylic painting by the cat.

Imbolc is a greater Sabbat and marks the start of Spring and was later christianised as St Brigid's Day. In the original painting the cat chose to depict Brigid (goddess of Ironmongery) holding a flaming arrow in one hand. The cow, and the jug of milk flowing upward represent the giving of life and her close association to the animals of the land.
