Floragold ‘Louisa’ sugarbowl with lid.
This little 1950s treasure has seen not much activity. She was kept really pristine in a closet somewhere I guess. Her mate, the milk jug was not around, so I guess he didn’t survive.
Her pattern gave her away. She is a Floragold ‘Louisa’ sugar bowl. Made by the Jeanette Glass Company (Pocket Guide to Depression Glass & More, 1920s - 1960s by Gene Florence, page 67). Her iridescent, flowery elegance will brighten every depression glass collection.
Because there is no mention of this pattern being taken in (re-)production again (not even on the internet), I can safely assume she is an original.
