corn ring, silver ring, gold ring, gold kernels, mixed metal, summer ring, chef gift, gardener, lynn cobb, corn on the cob, made in america
It's summer and that means fresh corn on the cob! This sterling silver corn ring is embellished with 22karat gold kernels! The band has the stalk, leaves and silk of the corn plant. Although most of my work is my own artwork, when I scavanged an old broken spoon at a flea market with this fabulous corn motif, I knew it would make a great mold for a ring, earrings or pendant. The corn jewelry has proven to be one of most popular styles! A popular ring for a gardener gift, chef gift or vegetarian!
I can make this ring in whole or half sizes from 4-12. The ring is about 3/8th inch wide. Some people prefer a half or whole size larger when the band is wider. I now make all new orders of rings from a sort of "super sterling" silver which is .960 pure silver. Regular sterling is .925, and all of the rest of my items are made using .999 pure "fine" silver. By combining the two metals, my rings are the best of both worlds: the strength of sterling and the brighter shine of fine silver. I can also add patina to this ring, although I don't have a photo, it darkens the recessed areas, which highlights the corn stalk and leaf pattern. Please ask.
Rings are made to order in your size, please allow approximately one week for me to make it, in addition the the mailing time.
If you would like the matching earrings or pendant, please ask. I will be adding them to my website soon.
