Elizabethan Style Machine Knit Stockings ePattern

by MKDesigner

The general shape of these stockings is historically accurate for the Elizabethan era as best I can tell from photos of period hosiery in the Victoria & Albert museum in London. Even Henry VIII had knit hose, but they didn't really re-emerge again until the latter time of Elizabeth I when one of her Ladies, Mrs. Montague, knit them for her as a gift. Elizabeth loved those stockings.

If you're into Civil War re-enactments, Old West re-enactments, Rendezvous, SCA or RenFaires, then these are the perfect accompaniment to your costuming. Available in PDF or WORD format. Color Photos. Electronic Files via Download. INTERNATIONAL SALES MOST WELCOME.

Please feel free to produce these for resale at craft faires, Renaissance Faires, etc. No mass producing though. Email me for parameters. But please do not distribute the pattern either for free or for sale. See my copyright notice below.
