Antique French Book Bundle. Shabby Chic, Faded, Green Book Stack. French School Books. Boho Wedding Table Centrepiece. Library Decoration.
This is a stunning set of seven antique French books in Faded Green/Cream Tones. They are 'aged to perfection' and will give you an instant 'old library' effect, and will add extra 'French' chic to your collection.
This shabby chic book stack would make a gorgeous wedding table centrepiece for display at boho weddings and is the perfect interior decorators 'o'bjets d'Art' for cream or neutral rooms, they look lovely tied up with twine and displayed on a coffee table, sideboard, bedside table or dresser.
They all have 'yellowed' pages with 'age spots' and most importantly they have that 'old book smell' reminiscent of libraries and bookshops from a 'by-gone era' - fabulously comforting.
The seven books are a mixture of paperback and hardback editions tied up with unbleached twine/string and titled (largest first) :

El Magico Prodigioso - D. Pedro Calderón de la Barca (1879 edition) This 139 year old book is by Pedro Calderón de la Barca (7 January 1600 – 25 May 1681), who was a dramatist, poet and writer of the Spanish Golden Age. This Play 'The Mighty Magician' was originally written in 1637. This book is in Spânish with French notes.
They are in genuine vintage condition, as you can see from the photos, and some of the pages and covers are slightly loose. They have been held and read by many, many people who have 'thumbed through' them, studied them, ear marked pages, loved, lost and cherished them and they have finally ended up here - looking for a new home and a new adventure. They have also gathered a few pencil marks, and names inside the front covers, over the years. I've left them exactly as I found them because they're authentic.
If you wish to display the books in a bundle with string then you would need a minimum space of 14cms high x 20cms long x 14cms deep. (5½" x 8" x 5½".)
As these books are quite weighty, in this instance you could buy several items for the same postage price. I will reimburse the overages on postage. Postage costs are the same price from 2kgs - 5kgs (4½ to 11 lbs).
The more book bundles I compile the more difficult it gets to part with them as each set is so steeped in history and life that they 'feel' alive to me.
Thank you for looking and I hope you enjoy seeing these books as much as I have enjoyed finding them.
