1940s - 50s Silver Tone Metal 8x10 Photo Picture Frame
A quality, late 1940s to early 1950s bright silver tone metal picture frame. Simple and sophisticated. Holds an 8x10 photo. Nice vintage condition with zero rust or metal fatigue. An extremely clean and well cared for mid century picture frame. Felt backing does show some age-related wear and fading as expected, but the easel is still in fine working order. Frame does have thicker glass which was synonymous with quality photo frames of the period. Overall measures approximately 8 1/8 inches wide across the front by 10 1/8 inches tall. Unpackaged weight is almost 1 1/2 pounds.
Specifically Concerning Photo Frames:
Please note that the images you see in frame listings (unless otherwise specified) are low-resolution reproductions of vintage portraits from a personal collection. They have no actual value per listing. Their sole purpose is simply to fill the frame space. Also, be aware that it is not uncommon for the glass in vintage metal frames to have chipped corners or flea bites along edges. Rest assured that this in no way affects any visual presentation, as these age-related imperfections are well hidden behind frame borders. Keep in mind too that antique glass may have waves, seeds, or tiny etch marks due to manufacturing processes of the time.
